The Jasper County Farmers’ Market ended its 2019 season on Tuesday, September 24. The market was again located in the northwest corner of Courthouse Square in Downtown Newton. A big thank you to the citizens of Newton and greater Jasper County for attending the market and to our dedicated farmers and vendors for helping to make the 2019 Market successful. Details about the 2020 market will be forthcoming in the spring.

Accessible parking is available on the north and west sides of Courthouse Square.

What are the Farmers' Market Nutrition Programs?
The market is authorized to participate in WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program [FMNP] and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program [SFMNP].

FMNP provides food, health care referrals and nutrition education at no cost to low income women and their children who may be at nutritional risk. Qualifying women include pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and children from four months to five years. SFMNP provides low-income individuals 60 years of age and older with coupons to purchase nutritional foods to enhance their diet.
