The Jasper County Farmers’ Market kicked off its 2018 season on June 5 and concluded on September 25. The market was again located in the northwest corner of Courthouse Square in Downtown Newton. We want to thank the citizens of Newton and greater Jasper County for faithfully attending the market and to our dedicated farmers and vendors for helping to make the 2018 Market so successful. Thanks also goes to the Jasper County Farm Bureau for sponsoring the Fall Fest Farmers' Market held on September 25. News about the 2019 market will be forthcoming in the spring.

Accessible parking is available on the north and west sides of Courthouse Square.

What are the Farmers' Market Nutrition Programs?
The market is authorized to participate in WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program [FMNP] and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program [SFMNP].

FMNP provides food, health care referrals and nutrition education at no cost to low income women and their children who may be at nutritional risk. Qualifying women include pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and children from four months to five years. SFMNP provides low-income individuals 60 years of age and older with coupons to purchase nutritional foods to enhance their diet.
